ABOUT CHRIS STRUB

In the summer of 2015, 29-year-old New York native Chris Strub traveled the United States to volunteer with youth-related organizations nationwide. Chris accomplished this goal without a sponsor, funding the trip out of pocket. His journey spanned 100 days -- from May 15 to Aug. 21 -- and he became the first man to Snapchat and live-stream in all 50 U.S. states. The journey was covered by more than 35 mainstream news outlets around the U.S., including FOX 5 New York, the Lowell Sun, 6ABC in Philadelphia and more. Following his trip, Chris moved to upstate N.Y. to write a book, "50 States, 100 Days: The Book," which is available now. Chris spoke twice at Summit Live 2016 in San Francisco (on a panel and solo; get the HQ streams here) about his innovative use of social media for social good, and completed a groundbreaking 50-day Snapchat project called #StrubSnapSwaps, which increased his Snapchat viewership by more than 600%. In 2016, Chris worked with Humana in Louisville, Ky., and traveled to the company's seven "Bold Goal" markets to work with community partners. In 2017, Chris launched 'I Am Here, LLC,' a social media consulting agency designed to help nonprofits around the U.S. Chris is a vocal advocate for Pay Away the Layaway, an organization that pays off layaway plans for needy families.
