Hi, I'm Chris.
During the summer of 2014, I took an epic roadtrip around the lower 48 states. This poorly made website is my best effort to show you just how awesome the journey was.
The trip started May 29 in Binghamton, N.Y., and ended in that same city on Aug. 26. All in all, I drove 15,484 miles; visited 18 baseball stadiums; ran three half-marathons; attended one wedding, & served as a groomsman in another; sold a t-shirt to a county executive in Wisconsin; met up with close family in Salt Lake City, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay & Kansas City. The trip raised some money, & plenty of awareness, for a charity called Pay Away the Layaway. The charity was founded by Lee Karchawer, a Binghamton U. grad from Goshen, N.Y. [Related: In housing search, Binghamton University alum leaves no stone unturned - BU Pipe Dream, Summer 2014) I announced a $1,000 donation at my birthday party in Arlington, Va., on Aug. 23; all proceeds from my t-shirt sales now through Christmas will also go to PATL. A lot of people ask what happens next. Well, I moved south ... I'm currently the General Manager of Sbarro #318, at Haywood Mall in Greenville, South Carolina.
